We decided that it would be fun for our 'about us' section to interview each other. Here is the result...

1.
If you could live in a made up place from a
book, which would it be? I
am having a hard time choosing between Hogwarts and Narnia. They are basically
the same, so Hogwarts I guess, so that I can do magic.
2.
What is your favorite childhood (non-chapter)
book? Cloudy with a Chance
of Meatballs
3.
If you could have any super power, what would
you choose? I would like to
be able to fly or teleport/apparate. I run late everywhere, and I feel that
these would severely minimize travel time, which then might improve my ability to arrive
on time.
4.
Other than reading, what is your favorite
leisure activity? I enjoy
researching our family genealogy. Sadly, this means my sisters know I have
proof that they are related to me and can’t I try to convince them they were adopted.
5.
List your favorite actor and actress of the
moment. This one is tough
for me because I don't tend to follow any particular actors or actresses. I don’t
decide to watch a movie or show based upon who is acting in it. At the moment I would have to say Tom Hiddleston for purely aesthetic reasons...he's so hot!
6.
If you could travel anywhere in the world,
where would you go? England.
Lots of history to keep my little geek heart entertained. I could continue my
family history research. Plus, the only foreign language I would have to learn is English. ;)

1. If you could trade places with anyone in literature, who would you choose? Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I'd love to go to Hogwarts and be one of the best witches in the school. Hanging out with Harry and Ron wouldn't be too bad either. ;)
2. If you could have any job in the world, what would you do? If you had asked me this when I was younger, I would have said a Disney animator. Now that I'm older, however, I would have to say a photographer. I love taking pictures! It's so fun! Now, I wouldn't want to be a celebrity photographer or anything, not that there aren't a few hot celebs I'd love to photograph, ;) but I would love to travel the world and capture it all on film. :)

3.
If you could go on a one week, all expenses paid vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go? Ireland. What can I say, I'm a sucker for castles... and accents.
4.
Do you believe in fate? No. I believe in free will; we are all given choices daily that help shape who we are, what we do, and what we become. I think God knows what will happen in the future, but I also think he gave free will so we can choose that path for ourselves.
5.
Name your all time favorite fictional character, your favorite quote by them, and explain why they are your favorite. Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I love her character- she's independent, bookish, clever, and family-oriented. Plus, despite her flaws (strong-willed, highly opinionated), she does learn from her mistakes and grow as a person. Favorite quote (Elizabeth to Mr. Darcy, Chapter 34): "From the very beginning, from the first moment, I may almost say, of my acquaintance with you, your manners impressing me with the fullest belief of your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the feelings of others, were such as to form that groundwork of disapprobation on which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike; and I had not known you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry."
6.
What is your least favorite genre to read and why? This is a toss-up between mystery, crime, and horror. I like happily ever afters and a bit of romance... these tend to not have that. I suppose horror is my least favorite of the three.

1.
What is your favorite book of all time? Morganville Vampires. It was one of the very first series that I discovered on my own. And although it is nice to be recommended a good series, it feels like striking gold when you find a great one all on your own.
2.
Name a hidden talent you possess. I can touch my nose with my tongue. Haha
3.
What is your favorite nail polish color? Black. It is my go-to. It is classy and yet edgy.
4.
What Hogwarts house would you be sorted into? Probably Ravenclaw. I'm A LOT like Luna. Haha.
5.
You are throwing a dinner party and must
invite five famous people (living or dead). Who is getting an invitation? Hm. This is really tough. Well... I don't know if this really counts but 1) God 2) Anne Frank 3) J.K. Rowling 4) Jane Austen 5)Walt Disney
6.
What book did you not read in high
school when it was assigned that you now wish you had read? Everything. Haha. I always seemed to find a way out of reading in high school. However, looking back, I wish I had taken the time to just read every assignment asked becayse even if a book sucks, you always get something out of reading it. They teach you what you like and what you don't like. They expand your mind both educationally and imaginatively. If I had to choose ONE however....The Alchemist by Paulo Coeho.
